They range in price check the PC threads under mini prices
I sold one yesterday for 100k
even if the guy was "WTB" in trade for 100k plus lockpics
and now Anet fixed the bug with incubator kit they MAY go up or down who knows what the price will stable out as. shrug

People are lazy, so they buy them. Smart people will exploit the lazy people, and a new market is born.

well to be fair........if you do this from scratch, it does take quite a while. Farming up the dusts and woods, turning those into 50 spiritwoods, collecting the 5 skree / 5 bog, finally getting Zho to spawn in Norn arena, visiting all the npc's, and doing SF.....that can take quite a while. Plus you have to have bought all the titles and have taken your toon through all the areas......not like snapping your fingers

You can only get one journal from Zho and it's customized, so I would assume you can only get one per character.

Yeah it's only 1 per char you can make I still have 1 on another char
taht I'm definitely keeping
I didn't go through all that %^%%^& just to sell both and not going to do it again either.
Well unless I'm totally board for a few days then I might but by the time that happens
they could be worth less than the cost of materials and money ect to get it in the first place. lol

i have ten characters, and i dont want ten chicks, but i may do the quests, however, only one has a chick at the moment, another character has completed elona and cantha but hasnt got through tyria yet, and the other 8, are nowhere near any of the places they would need to be to get some of the primary parts done they alone have to. most of my characters havent even got into the first mission on cantha yet let alone past gayla hatchery

Well, in all fairness, its not exploiting if there's a genuine market, no one is being exploited here, the lazy player gets his Moa chick, the smart one gets cash, everyone is happy.

Is it exploiting to sell Onyx gemstones for 12K because other players want them but dont want to spend hours working to get them? Dont think so.

Perhaps exploit was the wrong choice of word. Take advantage of people laziness <~~ happy

(disregarding ebay etc..)

Laziness?

Not at all.

The farms and other money making techniques that people have practiced over time will earn them the money to buy eggs/stones/etc.. much faster than making the runs for the actual items themselves. At least, this is how it works for me and those I know.

So to me it's the sellers being exploited, their putting much more effort in gathering these items for us to buy.

PS I reckon I didn't see the irony of my flame-y initial post, it was early/late. I'll apologize

It is laziness, the time required to get the Moa vs the time required to farm the gold to pay for it doesn't add up.

Time to get Moa - 30-45 mins
Time to farm 80k+ for an average person, hours.

I forget how long it takes the new/average player to earn money. Pretty much all the players on my friends list are or were traders. I guess I'm too used to the good life.

Okay, I wasn't aware of farm time for moa; should have researched that before shooting my mouth. I'll stand by my point concerning Onyx, though.

It's always been capped at one per character. You can only get the journal once and you can only make one incubator.

The recent patch removed the trick where you could use another character (or someone else's character) to put the nesting material into the incubator for a character who had never been to vabbi.
